# ✨ Treasure Hoard: The Minton Mosaic Floor at Bury Parish Church

The floor at Bury Parish Church is mesmerising. It was laid as part of J. S. Crowther's rebuilding of the church in 1876\. It's a wonderful example of how a floor surface can be so impactful on the senses.

Laid by Minton, its circles, stars and interlocking geometries draw the eye ever deeper into the pattern, revealing new relationships the longer you look. Its design appears to echo the extraordinary medieval Cosmati pavement at Westminster Abbey - itself a vision of the universe expressed through geometry.

At Bury, that ancient idea is reimagined through Victorian materials and craftsmanship: worlds within worlds, unfolding beneath our feet.
