For me, this is a moment of sanctuary: the ragged, ruddy fox against the monolithic west front. I can’t help but wonder how many generations of foxes have graced the curlicue and the curvilinear with their quatrefoil pads.

Whilst I walk along High Street, the buildings are tinted with a golden hue. As the sky softens, I can sense the day turning in on itself, the light tempered, beaten and bossed into thinness. This golden hour is turning blue.
York is one of my all time favourite destinations and I spent many days over a full year capturing the essence of its architecture, typography and culture. This print is very special to me, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
