Andy Marshall (Architectural and Interiors Photographer)

Based in Manchester, I've spent more than twenty years photographing architecture across Britain - from award-winning contemporary buildings to some of our oldest historic places.
Architecture is more than form and function. Every building carries its own character, history and relationship with the people who use it. My work is about revealing that spirit of place through photography.

"…I have to say that he ended up producing these mind blowing pictures of the house and so we were really privileged to be in amongst the best of the best.”
Sarah Beeny

“Andy was employed by Argent to photograph our new development at Piccadilly (Manchester). The photographs he produced were superb and brought the very best out of what is an exceptional scheme."
Thomas Mckenna (Argent Group)

"..one of the country's leading architectural photographers."

My work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, editorial features and television, and I have contributed photography to numerous RIBA and interior design award-winning projects.

My work combines more than twenty years of professional architectural photography with postgraduate research into Genius Loci - the spirit of place. Every commission begins by understanding what makes it distinctive, how it is experienced and how it sits within its wider landscape and community.

My camper-van studio allows me to stay close to projects, photograph buildings at first and last light, respond quickly to changing weather, and work efficiently across Britain without the overheads of repeated hotel stays.
