A WALK
IN INK.
My sketchbook from Offa’s Dyke.
A journey.
Unfolded.
I love working in the concertina format because the journey unfolds quite literally, with one place leading into the next.
Making
the sketchbook.
As I travelled through the landscape, I tried to capture something of the places I visited in my sketchbook. Working in ink and watercolour, I found myself immersed in each place through observation.
I often began a sketch on location. If I didn’t finish it there, I would return to it in a hotel, bar or café along the way.
Every line.
A place.

The original
sketchbook.
I’m offering this sketchbook for sale to help fund future tours and walks.
It’s the original book I carried and worked in along the way, with its ink drawings, watercolours and collected pieces - not a print or a reproduction.
There is just this one book, so this is a one-time opportunity to own it. Thank you for supporting the journeys, photographs and stories still to come.
