Discovering photography changed my life for the better. For me, photography has the power to reach beyond the bounds of the composition. Behind the Photograph posts champion photography as an art form and as something to pause over, think about and return to, rather than consume and discard. Here I share with you how a photograph can connect people to place, stir memory, challenge assumptions and change perspective.

We don't need to have professional equipment with us to capture an emotion - sometimes worlds align, atmospheres become visible and we just have to record it from our perspective.
The house is not simply there to be looked at, but something we feel ourselves moving towards.
A different viewpoint does more than show us something new. It dismantles what we thought we already knew.
