Here the medieval world is gleefully turned upside down. A pack of pigs attacks the wolf - or perhaps a hound - that would ordinarily threaten them. The hunter becomes the hunted and the natural hierarchy collapses into comedy.
Yet beneath the joke lies the delicious prospect of comeuppance: the weak combining against the powerful. Hidden beneath a choir stall, it brings mischief, satire and unruly country life into the solemn heart of the cathedral.
