Wirksworth changed the way I see things and I'm thankful for that.
This is a view of the chancel at St. Mary, Wirksworth with its fine encaustic floor tiles and the tomb of Sir Anthony Lowe, gentleman of the bedchamber to both Henry VII, Henry VIII and Edward VI.
Situated in the north aisle of St. Mary's Parish Church the Wirksworth stone is dated to around 800AD.
St. Mary in Wirksworth in Derbyshire has a remarkable layered history with material artefacts that represent the Anglo-Saxon period onwards.
I'm between photo shoots and parked up in the Chatsworth Caravan and Camping Site. It's the perfect spot to explore the surrounding landscape..
