The Chapter House is one of the most evocative spaces that I have ever had the chance to photograph. Entering the space invokes a sense of awe and connection - head there first thing, before visiting the rest of the cathedral.

Lincoln’s Chapter House (a place for administration) turns structure into emotion. From the central pier, stone ribs rise and unfold like the branches of a great tree, drawing the eye upwards and the spirit outwards. Nothing is merely decorative: this organic geometry carries weight, gathers light and gives utility the unmistakable shape of joy.
