In the late 1990's I had a breakdown that ultimately led me, through a journey that took me away from depression, to a new career in photography. But what was the spark that ignited my journey?
For over twenty years I've been seeking out alternative stories in our surviving material culture and sharing them with my photographs and words.
What is being gathered here is not just material, but understanding. That we are shaped by these places, as much as we shape them.

My camera is taking me beyond the threshold of time into the twill and texture of material that has been fashioned by human hands.
Again there came an unfurling and opening up that comes with looking into another creature’s eye - but this time it was with a building.
This first member-shaped journey confirmed something important to me - that slower, deliberate journeys of this kind are worth making space for.
